So, it would appear that I'm directing soon. That will be an interesting challenge, but one that I'm ready to undertake. I've been in touch with our lovely director, and I think I have a good handle on where things need to go. I promise not to be too out there. You know, start smoking cloves, wearing black turtlenecks and quoting the great directors of the past. I'll still be me. Just, you know, with more creative control for a week.

In the meantime, apologies if I've been a bit short with people lately. I've been dealing with a bit of a cold over the past few days and it's made me a bit irritable. Hopefully I'll be able to defeat this beast soon.

Ah, back to work after spending the holidays back home. Good friends, very good company, but alas, all good things must end. Here's hoping the rest of this season goes well. I've been asked to direct, which should be quite fun, as I've never directed for television before. The stage is one thing, it's alive and vibrant and right in everyone's face, but the small screen... that will be a challenge. One I shall attack with great gusto!

Also reading over a few scripts for the summer. But I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet. Stage, screen? Or maybe just take the summer off and travel a bit? Decisions, decisions.

Happy Boxing Day, one and all! Greetings from the United Kingdom! It has been a truly wonderful holiday back home. My flat is just as I left it, although there was a bit more dust than I'd expected. Must speak to the staff about that one.

My boy and I have been thoroughly enjoying the time here so far, and it will be a shame when we have to leave and return to the States. It would appear that my dear boy does not appreciate being awoken with a camera in his face, however.

While I don't think he was expecting the early wakeup call, I'm certain he appreciated taking a stroll through the high street for a bit of after-Christmas shopping. I more than made it up to him, I promise.

And now, I'm off to bed, hoping that there's not a camera waiting for me when I get there. I've already taken off my makeup, after all.

One more week until hiatus, and I am definitely ready for the holiday. Not that this show has been a horrible experience by any means, but it will be nice to return to old Blighty for a good old fashioned Christmas. It's just not the same hearing everyone say "Merry Christmas". It's "Happy Christmas", damn it!

A glorious day in NYC for the Macy's parade! Thank you to everyone who came out to support us. Seeing the Priscilla cast performing was proof of how far we've come! But we cannot forget there's still a long way to go.

Also, I met Daniel Radcliffe today! A wonderful young man who's grown up right before our very eyes. Felt like meeting an old friend, actually. Oddly familiar.

Taking wing to New York for an HRC fundraiser and a special appearance at a matinee of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert tomorrow. I may be off the boards these days, but one never forgets their first love.

Fear not, Madame Directeur, I shall return in plenty of time for work on Monday! Unless I find a reason to stay longer, then I might be cutting it close.
